High Wycombe & District Model Aircraft Club is one of the longest established (in the 1930's) - see Club History here and one of the largest in the South of England, with some 125 members. What better way to dispel the weeks' pressures than to spend a little time outside on a crisp winter's day, flying with like-minded people.
What we have to offer? Two flying sites, one at Flackwell Heath, High Wycombe and the other at Towersey, Thame Affiliation to the BMFA, embracing their training scheme wholeheartedly, with plenty of excellent Instructor's and dedicated Examiners. Encouragement for new Members and the offer of comprehensive training to get you through those difficult first flights. Monthly Social Evenings with Guest Speakers and events linked to aviation, including table top sales of models. Free Monthly Newsletter keeping everyone in touch with Club news, competitions and modeling attractions around the area. Committment to providing an active Club with a good atmosphere, promoting the hobby and encouraging competent and safety conscious pilots to fly in a safe and enjoyable manner.
